WAAX \u2013&nbsp;<em>Big Grief<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Big Grief<\/em>&nbsp;may be Brisbane group WAAX\u2019s debut album, but an impressive debut it is. The songs passionately and unflinchingly examine the trials and tribulations of coming of age. WAAX finds a beautiful balance with a sound that is both energetic and heartfelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/music.mxdwn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/EQ-sDV1XUAIjATQ-1024x1024.jpg?resize=320%2C320&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"Image result for tame impala the slow rush cover\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2.) Tame Impala \u2013&nbsp;<em>The Slow Rush<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tame Impala\u2019s groundbreaking&nbsp;<em>Currents<\/em>&nbsp;was a hard album to follow up; this may be, in part, why&nbsp;<em>The Slow Rush<\/em>&nbsp;arrived a full five years later. Though it is debatable whether this album lives up to its predecessor,&nbsp;<em>The Slow Rush<\/em>&nbsp;is a dynamic album and a strong return for Tame Impala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/f4.bcbits.com\/img\/a1978273901_10.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for yehan jehan earth arrangements\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3.) Yehan Jehan &#8211; <em>Earth Arrangements, Vol. 1<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What is, perhaps, the most impressive aspect of young Paris-based artist Yehan Jehan&#8217;s debut LP, <em>Earth Arrangements<\/em>, is how the creation of the record demonstrates his wide range of talent. Not only did Jehan produce the entire album, he also created the accompanying art and music videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.pitchfork.com\/photos\/5e4c156ca5496f0009129773\/1:1\/w_320\/Miss%20Anthropocene_Grimes.jpg\" alt=\"Image may contain: Human, and Person\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4.) Grimes &#8211; <em>Miss Anthropocene<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In her fifth studio album, Claire Boucher (aka Grimes) returns with what might be her most astonishing collection of tracks yet. With her typically unsettling flair and alien-like sound, Grimes tackles topics such as climate change, the patriarchy, and death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com\/images\/I\/71bouMSbZKL._SY355_.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for deserta black aura my sun\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5.) Deserta &#8211; <em>Black Aura My Sun<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Matthew Doty, the artist behind Deserta, finds a sweet spot somewhere between Sigur Ros and Slowdive in this sweeping record.
