I love Girls. \u00a0This album follows the debut LP, Album<\/em>, and their lengthy EP, Broken Dreams Club<\/em>, both of which are modern classics in the mind of this DJ. \u00a0Between the first two releases there is a marked progression from the more garage rock sound to the richer arrangements and instrumentation of the EP. Girls refuse to settle while honing the pure songwriting brilliance of Christopher Owen. \u00a0He and Chet JR White make a lovely and powerful pairing. They worked with \u00a0producer Doug Boehm here to great effect. This record sounds professional without being undone. \u00a0This is a very personal album that sounds like something you may have heard before, yet, they make it theirs.
