THE WINNING ACT RECEIVES $750, SECOND PLACE WINS $500, THIRD PLACE WINS $250, AND FOURTH PLACE WINS $250. The stakes are high, so submit your mix today and read how this all works below.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY BY 11:59 P.M. ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15TH, 2023.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>THE PROCESS:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>All eligible artists must submit their music via this online form by October 15th, 2023 at 11:59pm.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KJHK&#8217;s staff will listen and review all submissions, and pick <\/span><b>six finalists.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>The six finalists will perform at Battle of the Beats on Thursday, November 9th, 2023 at The Replay Lounge in Lawrence, KS.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Prizes for winner and runners -up awarded at Battle of the Beats]<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>1st PLACE: $750.00<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>2nd PLACE: $500.00<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>3rd PLACE: $250.00<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><b>4th PLACE: $250.00<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*Prizes will be distributed within two weeks of Battle of the Beats and all appropriate tax information must be supplied by winners to KJHK.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entrants from anywhere in Kansas, as well as DJ\u2019s or artists from Kansas City, MO and its surrounding metro area.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All styles of music are welcome.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entrants must be considered &#8220;amateur&#8221; or unsigned. Those who are signed to a label will not be considered.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There must be an element of a live performance in the entrant&#8217;s set.
