It was in early January, and it was me and my friend Lucas and our friend Andrew, and it was us kinda just jamming in my apartment. Me and Lucas were both on guitar, we were rocking out, and at that point we went by the name “Folk Music Soundbook” or something? From the Folk Music Soundbook that was on the table in the apartment that I lived in. Eventually I was like, “yo I got this drummer, Jaron, he’s phenomenal” and we played with him, then Maxwell came along, he hopped in on a session. And we became “Set the MCL”, which was kinda like a fusion jam group, and then we sealed the deal with our newest inclusion, Lauren, who’s the singer. And now we’re “Mosaic”.

Jaron: Yeah, that’s about the story.

Gus: Alright, next question is what is your favorite show you’ve performed as Mosaic?

Max: Well, I had a really good time playing The Bottleneck back in December. I don’t know, it breathed a lot of life into our music, and I enjoyed it so much.

Micah: Mine was probably, [when] KJHK hosted a spooky showcase event.
