Pride Month just started, and now it\u2019s the end of June?!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the spirit of this fleeting Pride Month, I\u2019ve put together a playlist of songs all about fleeting love, featuring all queer musicians. Whether you\u2019re feeling just a little nostalgic or completely heartbroken, let these ten songs serve as a soundtrack to your daydreaming of what once was.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cCupid\u201d by Ryan Beatty<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Cupid&#8221;<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tells the story of a young, forbidden gay love. Though the narrator is confident in what he wants, his lover doesn\u2019t seem ready to admit he feels the same.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDispose\u201d by Kevin Atwater<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Though in a seemingly perfect relationship, Kevin sings about his self-doubts and his fear of being abandoned, or disposed of, by his lover.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEndlessly\u201d by Omar Apollo<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This song is all about feeling neglected by a partner, and accepting that the love you crave is already inside you, and won\u2019t be found in this hopeless relationship.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cForget Her\u201d by girl in red<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There\u2019s no worse feeling than craving love from a person you\u2019ll probably never see again. This song explores the feelings of post-breakup hopelessness, when it feels as though no one else could ever love you better.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBMHWDY\u201d by Syd<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s hard to feel sad when you hear songs as groovy as Syd\u2019s, but this one takes it at least a bit slower as she reflects on a relationship gone wrong.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cCome on Mess Me Up\u201d by Cub Sport<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This song is about being so lonely that you crave any sort of love, even if it ends up hurting you in the long run.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBITE\u201d by Troye Sivan<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Blue Neighborhood<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> somehow came out ten years ago, but it still haunts me every time I feel any amount of queer angst. This one is about yearning so hard for someone, but being afraid that they\u2019ll hurt you once you get them.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAlways Let U Down\u201d by Blood Orange<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Heavily influenced by the New York ballroom scene, Blood Orange\u2019s music transcends gender and sexuality, making existential songs that are relatable to just about anyone. This one is pretty self-explanatory.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDoomed\u201d by Moses Sumney<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In his 2017 album<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Aromanticism<em>,<\/em><\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Sumney explores his fluctuating sexual identities and the loneliness of doing so alone.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI Know we Can\u2019t be Friends\u201d by Shamir<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Discovered this song while writing this article, and wow, it\u2019s so pretty. If you liked the Blood Orange song, you\u2019ll like this one too.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With couples constantly soft-launching on Instagram, Pride Month can be a tough time for us singles. I hope these songs about loneliness make you feel a little less lonely this June.
