Grooms – Infinity Caller

Miss the sounds of Sonic Youth? Grooms are here to fill the void

Grooms – Infinity Caller

Brooklyn-based band Grooms’ second Full Length album possesses poppy, punchy riffs with reverb and crunch effects that possess all of the qualities of a late 80s early 90s alt-rock and grunge style combined with aspects of post-rock. The album begins with two upbeat tracks, “Lion Name” and “I Think We’re Alone Now.” Both of these tracks sound similar to Sonic Youth’s style and are great for adding an upbeat tempo and a good vibe to your playlist. Other tracks that stand out on the record are “Iskra Goodbye,” “Completely,” “Sometimes Sometimes,” and the eponymous “Infinity Caller.”
