Provocative and progressive and incredibly disturbing.
Xiu Xiu’s newest album is not for everyone but it does feature several tracks that have a nice groove. The first track in particular features a driving synth dance beat that is definitely the highlight of the album. At times it can get a little too disorienting and “avant-garde” for its own good but in general it’s definitely worth a listen. If nothing else at least check out the first track.
