Some awesome local hip hop from Kansas City.
Being weary of friends suggesting their other friends’ groups, I was extremely surprised and pleased to have been suggested to The Phantom*. The Fountain Of Youth is his second full length album and it’s definitely unique. It blends hip hop, soul, electronic, and funk beautifully while still emphasizing The Phantom*’s rapping. The one set back is that he does rap fast the entire time and the hooks are repeated too much at times. The sound is one of a kind bringing the intensity of hip hop with funk and soul driving thePhantom* forward.
