Perfect Fall AlbumBahamas is Toronto native Afie Jurvanen a singer songwriter who combines lush harmonies with folk undertones. Bahamas graced our station and did a live in-studio.
On this record Bahamas delivers gorgeous melodies, interesting guitar hooks and head bobbing tunes. The most infectious and instantly likeable track is “All the Time”. With its precise guitar licks, echoed harmonies similar to Dr. Dog and repetitive relatable lyrics, it’s a sweet track. “Waves” is a lovely acoustic based straight forward folk track with dreamy harmonies that make you sway. “Stronger Than That” is upbeat and sounds very similar to The Head and the Hearts most recent album. It features some horns and slightly southern style guitar. “Bitter Memories” reminds me of local folk-esque band Quiet Corral. It’s a sweet simple song with a steady build up.
Truly the entire album is pleasant to listen to. It’s perfect for fall so relax and enjoy.
