Stellar drum beats drive this album.
Factories is a band that has all of the predictability associated with the current electro-pop indie scene. But the drums…how do I put this, if you’ve ever listened to the band Battles, that’s as close as I can get. The drums are fantastically weird and out of place but still drive the music. On some tracks I can’t tell if it’s a drummer or a drum machine but it doesn’t matter. The instrumentation is adequate, maybe a bit better than I’m giving it credit, but the drums are the shiner. Play loud and play often!
