Hello! We are 90.7FM KJHK-Lawrence, the student-run radio station here at KU! As a KU student, we have many different ways to get involved that are unique to KJHK. Whether you’re interested in music reviewing, video and audio production, sports reporting, event planning or online content, at KJHK there’s a spot for you. We also have a lot of opportunities to become an on-air DJ – NO experience needed, we’ll show you how it’s done.
We’re currently accepting applications for the fall semester to join a volunteer staff and to become a DJ. Time commitments vary per staff but all have a weekly staff meeting and attend a monthly All-Staff meeting. A mini-description of each staff is below:

- Production Staff: audio editing, promos, copy writing
- Street Team: promotions, PR, community engagement
- Sports Staff: KU sports, broadcasting, play by play
- Content Staff: reviews, website curation, writing samples
- Music Staff: album & concert reviews, local music
- Live Music Committee: event planning, local music, VIP access
- Archive Staff: importing, WideOrbit, music library

As for DJ-ing goes, applications are OPEN for fall programming! We’re taking applications for hosts interested in New Music Rotation, Jazz in the Morning, Breakfast for Beatlovers and Local Music Rotation.
