A jam band that doesn’t sound too jam bandy!
There’s more than a few cool sounds to be found on Visits, the first album from Tammar. Velvet Underground comes to mind, though crossed with something like Joy Division having a good day (life). They don’t sound exactly like either one of those bands, obviously, but if you dig that kind of song construction then I think you could take to Tammar quickly. Songwriting, composition, and instrumentation are all high quality on this album. When they go the distance on some seven or eight minute jams, they make it worth your while (if you know what I mean).
