Some happy tunes that span the spectrum of happy pop music.
Every Steps A Yes is a nice slice of retro psychedelic pop that takes influence from everything from folk rock to the Beach Boys. The album opens up with a track that is not unlike something that Fleet Foxes may have done on one of their albums. “I Really Need Love” is an infectiously happy tune that is a warm up for what you are in store for on the rest of the album. Even the bonus tracks are great, songs like “Go Where You Wanna Go” sound like they could have been an outtake from the Pet Sounds session. Although the album was released a year ago in the UK, it has just now captured a US release date. If you enjoy happy psychedelic indie pop, than The Bees are the band for you.
