Thee Oh Sees: Putrifiers II

Just the way you like ’em.

Ohhh I better preface this with a very clear message: I love Thee Oh Sees. They are from San Francisco and they make me very happy. The band, centered around John Dwyer (Pink and Brown, Coachwhips, The Hospitals, others), who is a garage punk rock genius. He continues to reveal art-rock and psych influences as he goes along recording, as well. The sounds on this disc are high energy, groove-driven, and (sometimes mischievious) fun. The quality of each album they’ve released in recent years has been very high, so please check out their (extensive) discography if you like this record. Also: if you get the chance, go forth and see their live show. It’s music and energy and very enjoyable. I’ve caught them four times as of this writing, and would not hesitate to see them again and again.
Think: THEE OH SEES (oft-psychedelic garage rock)
