Are you tired of viewing the world through a sepia toned lens? Do you miss KJHK in the late 80s and early 90s? Well today is your lucky day because Alternative Flashback has returned! My name is Maranda and I am the host of Alternative Flashback. We can all agree that alternative music has changed in the last twenty years — drastically changed. We have switched from loud punk and grunge to heavily synthesized melodies. Personally I have noticed that what we play here is not the same as what it used to be, and although that is not a bad thing, many KJHK listeners miss what alternative rock used to be.
So this semester I will be playing alternative rock found in the stacks of KJHK. No outside music will be brought in, only what we have here. So tune in and call with requests!
