Welcome, KJHK fans, to a new special program coming at you live and direct from KJHK studios: The Burner. Hosted by DJ DARRENTHADUDE and airing all summer long on Mondays, 10 to midnight, The Burner will be bringing you all your favorites in punk, hardcore, garage, and alternative rock, as well as exploring underground artists you may not be familiar with yet. Whether it be classics from the 70’s, 80’s, or 90’s, deep cuts you didn’t know existed, or contemporary and up and coming acts, The Burner has got you covered.
You can expect to hear tracks ranging from the forefathers of punk and hardcore, such as The Stooges, The Germs, and The Clash, as well as newer bands like Thee Oh Sees, White Lung, Iceage, Parquet Courts, and more. If its got loud guitars, chugging drums, punishing vocals, or any combination of the three, be ready to bang your head to it on The Burner. Put on your best pair of shitkickers, pull up a chair, tune in, and get ready to pump some fists all summer long, 10 to midnight Mondays on The Burner.
