Lesson 1: Tico o Tica!
Tica or Tico-(masculine) is an adjective used to mean “Costa Rican”
So, Musica Tica = Costa Rican Music
Also, tica (or tico) by itself can refer to a Costa Rican person ie. Tico loco o tico sensible.
Lesson 2: ¡Pura Vida!
Pura Vida! is an important Costa Rican idiom. The phrase, which literally translates to “pure life,” has come to represent a motto or even a lifestyle. Pura Vida! in Costa Rica is close to saying Life is simple, short and important to live to the fullest. In other words, everything is fine and life is beautiful despite the difficulties… Life is meant to be lived!
