What Tyrants are a garage rock band from Minnesota that formed in 2014 and although they’re still fairly new, they already sound like seasoned vets on their debut album No Luck. While What Tyrants aren’t the most innovative of the bands from the garage rock revival, they do feature quite a bit of energy and fierceness in their playing that’s lacking in some other bands in the genre. The song that personifies this the most is the track “Muffins” which features some fierce guitar playing and has an energetic almost surf-rock type feel to it. If these guys can keep it up, they will be surely a band to look out for in the future.
