Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

As you are all painfully aware at this juncture, Covid-19 has drastically affected all areas of KU and the Lawrence community.

Although in-person classes were cancelled for the rest of the Spring and Summer semesters, and Fall semester is still uncertain, KJHK student staff continue to meet every week, throughout the week, so that we can continue to bring you new music and content through this trying time.

With the current restrictions in campus buildings, we can’t have non-staff members in our studio in the Kansas Union. We are working on ways to bring KU students the same opportunities remotely, from DJing and staff meetings to equipment check-out and content creation. Our hope is to continue bringing  you entertaining and original programming while ensuring the safety of all of our student staff.

Our executive staff will begin reception hours the week of August 31st. Unfortunately, we are unable to allow walk-ins for the time being, but we are working on setting up a digital chat system for questions.

In short; we’re still here, we’re still doing everything we’ve always done, and we’re exploring new ways to do this so that we can continue to be your Sound Alternative regardless of the circumstances.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us and please stay safe during this time. We have compiled a list of local resources to help you all during these trying times.
