Young the Giant wrapped up their “In The Open” tour with a show at Uptown Theater in Kansas City on October 5th. The performance was presented in an intimate, seated format, offering a more stripped-down version of their music. The band maintained a relaxed atmosphere throughout the night. I talked with a few fans who had seen them multiple times in the past, me having seen them open for Cage The Elephant around a year prior as well. We all agreed that it was drastically different but just as good, giving fans a different perspective on their sound.
