The dead awoke on Sept. 18 when BLADE RAVE: Vampire Blood Rave came to Lawrence. The house, steampunk, goth, and techno-inspired traveling rave had streams of people coming into The Granada to dance to a bass that traveled from their toes to every crevice of their body. The hypnotic rhythm of the DJ’s set took over the rave-goers as they jumped up and down, bobbing their heads to the music. The environment took you to a place between worlds where blood-red lights flooded your vision and sound can physically touch you. The attendees even took part with their dress and makeup, looking perfect for dancing with the dead. Next time it’s in town; let the Blade Rave take you away!
