Soft Dreams is the latest and most fully-formed release from Dear Tracks through Track and Field Records. Working out of Michigan, Dear Tracks are a four-piece band making jangly guitar pop that makes you yearn for the heyday of bands like The Cure.
The EP may only be four tracks long, but it packs plenty of punch. Even without the release of a full-length album, they really have their sound down. The focus is on the instruments while vocals are extremely drowned out putting more emphasis on the atmosphere rather than any lyrical meaning. If you feel bands such as Real Estate and Wild Nothing can run together at times then that may be an issue with this group as well.
