The Last Dinner Party took their From the Pyre tour to The Midland in Kansas City, Missouri on April 1. The band took the stage following Florence Road, an Ireland born rock band formed in 2019 who is currently opening this leg of tour.

Everything about the show was perfect from the start, an elaborate stage set-up with a beautiful fabric backdrop complimented the band’s baroque aesthetic perfectly. Frontwoman Abigail Morris is nothing short of enamouring, she took the stage in a beautiful tiered white dress and a set of cowboy boots, the flow of her outfit emphasized her dancing and made for one of the most captivating performances I’ve had the pleasure of seeing.

The enchanting passion from the crowd was overwhelming throughout the entire night as well. Many times during the set, Morris would walk off stage and sing directly into the crowd from the barricade. The sea of people with their hands up, screaming every single word allowed for a beautiful glimpse into how much this band’s music means to their fans. The Feminine Urge, Sinner, and Nothing Matters were all standout tracks throughout the night. The Last Dinner Party is definitely a band everyone needs to see live at least once.
