Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds: “S/T”

Noel Gallagher is not with Oasis on this one, but the music is just as addictive.

Two years post-breakup from Oasis, Noel Gallagher is continuing on the same musical path he began. The collective sound of the album is just what you would expect – smooth, enjoyable, and thought provoking. If you loved What’s the Story, Morning Glory?, you’re sure to appreciate Gallagher’s return. The lovely lyrics and the same great voice are back to bring you some new catchy tunes you’ll be singing all day long.

Best comment on this album I’ve heard is from Streogum “Looks like Noel still has some gas left in the tank.” Seems pretty fitting for my opinion of Noel Gallagher at this stage in his career. He’s better without his brother for sure, but he is still got a pretty serious case of Beatlemania. Execpt for “Aka…What A Life!”, which gets hilariously 80s-workout-music. Also, who names the last song on their first solo album(Stop the Clocks), the name of his other bands greatest hits?
