Feel good music all the way from Iceland
Sin Fang’s latest album, Flowers, has a dreamy, joyful energy coupled with complex sound layering reminiscent of Sigur Rós. Both of these Icelandic band were recorded and produced by Alex Somers so it’s no wonder there’s a subtle similarity in their sound. The distinctive and addictive vocals of Sin Fang are somewhat reminiscent of Matt Johnson from Matt & Kim. The comparison can go even further in the sense of vibrant, sunny energy that this album has. If you’re looking for Icelandic feel good music, then look no further, and even if you’re not this album is well worth a listen.
Think: Indie pop with a finish of Sigur Rós, and a sound closer to Matt & Kim
