Mudhoney – Vanishing Point

80s alt icons are back and better than ever

Mudhoney present their 9th studio album with a much slower pace from their previous album. They open with a bluesy jam in ‘Slipping Away’ and goes into a popish punk confession in ‘I Like it Small.’ If you are a fan of their grunge/punk work, ‘What to Do with the Neural’ would fit your taste. Mudhoney continues the album with constant punk-like jam sessions with ear engaging instrumentation, even going into space rock with ‘In This Rubber Tomb.’ If you have not heard of any of Mudhoney’s most recent work, don’t be surprised to hear a wide range of music on this album. There is at least one song on this album that can pertain to your taste, whether it be punk, blues, grunge, alt rock, space rock, or even some pop rock. It is consistently entertaining and will get you rocking out in no time.
