Hot Chip – Dark and Stormy
EP from the structured and addictive English electronic jammers. Four new tracks, and four remixes from some pretty big names. The original tracks are pretty much more of the Hot Chip you know and love. Good stuff as usual. The remixes have a bit more variety to them, Scandinavian dance producer Todd Terje gives his golden touch to How Do You Do from HC’s last LP (like all the other remixed songs). Caribou’s Daniel Snaith (as Daphni) gives a hard edged remix of Night and Day. The EP closes with the irreplaceable Major Lazer and his remix, obnoxious in all the ways people love about Major Lazer. Admit it, you love it too.
