Sleaze: Arkitectoniks

From the UK with 4 EPs, 2 albums and a mixtape on his rap sheet, Sleaze masters this album. It’s Arkitectoniks, released by his own Greasy Vinyl label. It features his distinctive drawled-slang style along with his bookworm vocabulary and his golden era sensibility.  His articulate rhymes may be a little hard to understand because of his accent, but the beats on this CD will definitely grab your attention.  One can easily recognize the influence of DJ Premier, 9th Wonder, and Pete Rock.  The interludes between songs also have Madlib’s funk vibe.  All tracks are layered with vintage kick and snares and are perfect for Breakfast for Beatlovers and hip-hop rotation.
