1972, Johnny Nash began a three week run at No. 1 in the U.S. with his song “I Can See Clearly Now”. The only other time
Nash reached the top spot was in the U.K. with the song “Tears On My Pillow”.

In addition to singing, Nash was also an actor. He appeared in the screen version of Louis S. Peterson’s Take A Giant Step.

1989, Roxette’s “Listen to Your Heart” reached No. 1 in the U.S. The Swedish duo achieved four U.S. number-ones in their career.

Roxette consists of Marie Fredriksson (vocals) and Per Gessle (vocals, guitar).

2000, DMX’s album The Great Depression went to No. 1 in the U.S.

2006, Diddy (a.k.a. P. Diddy, Puff Daddy, Puffy, etc.) was at No.1 with his album Press Play. Diddy was also born on this day in 1969. Born Sean John Combs, Diddy has won three Grammys and has accumulated a net worth of $500 million.
