Brown Bird: “Salt for Salt”

Eclectic folk music is all original

Brown Bird is an amazing mix of American folk, Gypsy and Eastern European music,
and blues on top of harmonized voices creates a unique and original sound. The
lyrical melodies created by the duo of David Lamb and MorganEve Swain are chilling and
reminds the listener of the hardships that still plague people’s lives. Unlike the former
albums, which tended to be more mellow, this album is definitely more of a porch-stomping
album. Songs like “Blood of Angels” (track 5) and “Come My Way” (track 8) have similarities
to songs of Andrew Bird. I would definitely recommend this album if you are on “the Bird”
scene.
