A New Era
Change is a good thing, right? When I first came to college I had no idea what I was getting into here at KJHK. I was a baby freshman with an overnight shift from 2-4 am on Thursdays and 17 credit hours of classes to complete. I listened almost exclusively to alternative and indie rock and I was entirely terrified of meeting new people.
A year later, so much has changed. I’m the new IT Director and I thought it would be fitting if I took over Marc’s show. I’m excited to bring my new love for electronic and dance music and my new tastes to Input/Output this year. I can’t wait to delve into the world of dance and house music with all my listeners. Hopefully I can break in the giant metaphorical shoes that Marc left for me and find a balance between old and new.
I love electronic music music that blends genres and breaks down boundaries. While listening to the new Input/Output, you can expect to hear things that break the traditions of dance, house, and electronic music, bringing elements of other genres and instrumentations into the mix. Hopefully this dive into progressive and groundbreaking music will entrance you as much as it has me. This is the beginning of something great, and I can’t wait to embark on this fantastic musical journey.
Some of my favorite tracks from this month:
- SOPHIE – HARD
- Violent Mood Things – Son of Sound

- Redinho – Searching
