KJHK’s Flammy Huo came into the studio on March 23. for an episode of “Across the Pond.” Flammy is a student at KU and a member of KJHK’s Arts and Culture Staff. She tells us about her journey from Shangai, China and how it lead her to the University of Kansas.
Rather than moving here for school, Flammy’s family relocated to Overland Park, Kansas, three years ago. Her family moved to Kansas because her father accepted a job in America. In this episode, she talks about the shock of moving, cultural differences between China and Kansas, and what it was like to grow up in the big city of Shanghai.
Flammy Huo is a freshman who currently studies Journalism. She hopes to someday be a reporter.
