As you enter KJHK, you may notice the hallway leading back to Production Studios 1 and 2 has a whiteboard hanging with colorful Expo marker scrawl on it (some of which, you can hardly make out). Well, let me introduce you to our “Opinion Wall!”
Every couple of weeks, someone on our Executive Staff writes a new prompt on the board (usually music related), and DJs, volunteer staffers, executive staffers, and even students and parents visiting on their tours have the opportunity to answer with their opinions for the rest of the station to view and engage with. It’s a super fun way of getting to know what music KJHK people are listening to and, by extension, get to know our staffers and community that much better.
At the start of October, it was Lane Rozin (Development Director)’s idea to pose a spooky-centric question for the KJHK culture: What’s your favorite song(s) for the spooky season?
The only caveat: PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, ANYTHING BUT MONSTER MASH!!!!
