An Interview with Corners of the Sky

Corners of the Sky members (left to right): Kyle (drums), Jason (vocals and guitar), Jake (bass); not pictured: Robbie (guitar)

How would you describe your music?

Jason: Noisy, energetic, and psychedelic.

Who are your biggest musical inspirations?

Kyle: We’ve got a trifecta. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Thee Oh Sees, and then Frankie and the Witch Fingers.

Do you have a favorite song you’ve made? Any that you’re excited to play at Farmer’s Ball?

Jason: “Place Unknown,” I like that song.

Jake: That’s one that we are planning on releasing as a single later on, sometime next month. Also, that’s a song that we’ve submitted a live demo of to a previous Farmer’s Ball ages and ages ago.

What motivates and inspires you to make music?

Kyle: The fun of it.

Jake: The camaraderie.

If you win Farmer’s Ball, how would you celebrate?

Jason: Go on tour for two weeks.

Jake: We’re doing that regardless, but, what would be great is to be able to do that comfortably–not have to sleep in a car every single time, and maybe be able to have better treats along the way.
