Bloc Party-Four

Indie staple returns after extended hiatus

Bloc Party is back after a four year hiatus with the aptly titled album, Four. This London, England based indie-rock band’s new album celebrates who they are as a band and reminds us why we fell in love with them in the first place. The song “Coliseum” sounds echoingly familiar to Bon Jovi’s Dead or Alive with it’s lyrics of “Got nightmare walking on two legs/ there’s a word for people like us/Can’t shake this feeling/We’re moving backwards, history repeating itself” it can transport you to the same place and time you probably were when you first heard Dead or Alive. The first single, “Octopus” (track 3), is an ultra fun track with its notable guitar riffs and charismatic drumming. You won’t be disappointed.
