Girls Rock Lawrence celebrated the end of its second annual camp week on Saturday at Liberty Hall. Campers in seven bands performed original songs to a crowd of hundreds of family, friends and local music supporters.
Now in its second year, Girls Rock Lawrence hosted campers June 6-10 at the Lied Center of Kansas. Girls Rock accepts campers ages 12-18 who identify as female, trans or gender non-conforming.
Throughout the camp week, volunteers coach campers on topics ranging from instrument instruction to stage presence to songwriting.
