A.C. Newman-Shut Down the Streets

Indie Pop legend’s latest solo endeavor

A.C. Newman is most commonly known as the leader of Indie Pop darlings the New Pornographers, but in recent years he’s established quite a respectable career as a solo musician. His latest album, Shut Down the Streets, continues Newman’s rich traditions of mixing Beatlesque melodies with a modern indie sensibility. Tracks like “There’s Money in New Wave” and “Strings” showcase Newman’s knack for harmony, as well as his sharp wit when it comes to songwriting. Any fan of indie pop will surely enjoy this album.
