Shoegaze gods make their long awaited return
What can be said about this album that hasn’t been said already? After a ridiculously long wait in between albums, the masters of shoe gaze My Bloody Valentine return with M B V. This album will inevitably be compared to their classic 1991 one album, “Loveless”, and when stacked up against such a giant of an album it is not as good. However, when judged on its own merits the album holds up well. The first half has a strong “Loveless” vibe so for those who were expecting another “Loveless” will be satisfied by those tracks. For those who wanted something different, the second half provides the most logical step forward that a fan could ask for. Please give this album a shot and don’t let the hype get to you.
Think: It’s My Bloody Valentine, you should know what to expect.
