Garage Rock Meets Psychedelic
Somewhere Between Here and Nowhere is The Black Hollies fourth full length album to date. They are a four man group from Jersey City. They are a sort of garage rock band as well a neo-psychedelic band and the two meld extremely well with them as a whole on this album. They have also been associated with the noise rock of the 70’s and 90’s, which is present on this album. The album starts off with “No Illusion” which has a very nice sort of mellow tone to it. The album as a whole is really strong, showcasing the band’s ability to work together as a whole, which we would hope after three other albums and roughly seven years together. This album makes me want to just sit back and relax in a comfortable chair, maybe next to a fire, with this album spinning on the turntable.
