Dreamin’ is the debut album for Australians Hockey Dad, and it’s the perfect “intro to summer” album—sunny surf-pop with Vampire Weekend-ish vocals (lots of ‘oooos’ and ‘heys!’).
There’s really not a lot to say about Dreamin’ other than it’s fun and easy to listen to. Tracks 1 and 5 are the best on the album because they’re upbeat and slightly more interesting than the others. Track 4 is much slower and more nostalgic of 60s California pop.
Just basic surf pop-punk, not bad but nothing earth-shattering.
