New Blues from the Masters
Slide Brothers Calvin Cooke, Chuck Campbell, Darick Campbell, and Aubrey Ghent come together to create an album that embodies the best of steel guitar. The sound of the group transitions between blues, rock, gospel, soul, and rock. Influences of Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton are easily heard in their music. Along with each musician playing steel guitar on the album, they all sing on the album as well. By switching between vocalists, the album stays fresh from track to track. The main attraction, however, is the mean steel guitar playing! Short verses and choruses make for long guitar breaks, great rock and blues style playing.
Think: Old school blues and rock with an upbeat tempo.
