The third episode of our local reading series brings you readings from Harmony Hansen, Cam Lay, Darren Canady, Chris McKitterick, and Tricia Dalaba.
In what is easily our best showing for literary variety, the November episode features MFA students Harmony Hanson (nonfiction) and Cam Lay (fiction) in our first ever live in-studio appearance, English professors Chris McKitterick (speculative fiction) and Darren Canady (dramatic) live at the Raven, and English major Tricia Dalaba (poetry).

Harmony and Cam
Creative Writing MFA students Harmony Hansen and Cam Lay joined us in the studio to read and discuss their work, in advance of their Nov 24th reading at Genovese. Despite mic problems and two hosts exhausted from a 3-hour voice acting session (see: Dancing Bear Variety Hour; see also: unanticipated broadcast schedule changes due to basketball games), it was a great experience. Looking forward to more of these segments!
Chris and Darren
On Nov 1st, KU English professors Chris McKitterick and Darren Canady took part in a reading at Raven Bookstore to promote Beecher’s, KU’s grad student-run literary magazine. Correspondent Scott Ross attended the reading and captured their segments.
Tricia Dalaba
Tricia Dalaba is a KU student who participated in the Undergraduate Reading Series on Nov 12th. She met with correspondent Ian Cook to read and discuss some of her poetry before the event.
