Neon Indian takes the number one spot on KJHK’s Top 30 for a second week! If you haven’t listened to Vega Intl. Night School, you can find a full stream of the album on Neon Indian’s youtube channel. An electronic synth pop album, this third release from Mom+Pop/Transgressive is highly experimental and elusive, blending old and new sounds to create an engaging and undeniably energetic listening experience.
Number two on our chart is Homeshake’s Midnight Snack, the second warped and oozy indie funk LP from Peter Sagar, a former touring guitarist for Mac Demarco. Wand takes takes the number three spot with the fuzzy garage rock album 1000 Days. Number four goes to Widowspeak’s All Yours, and rounding out the top 5 this week is Deradoorian’s experimental and entrancing The Expanding Flower Planet, the debut release from former Dirty Projectors member Angel Deradoorian.
New to the chart this week: Battles with La Di Da Di, Lettuce with Crush, and Fuzz with II.
