Corfu formed on December 21, 2012, in New York, NY. Their members include Jonathan Graves (vocals), Todd Hoellerman (drums, keyboards), Amanda Scott (synths, percussion), Julian Ferraldo (guitar, keys), Brian Murphy (bass, keyboards). The band arrived on the name of Corbu from a French painter, designer, and writer who was known for being the pioneers of modern architecture. Their influences consist of Radiohead and The Beatles. But their influences also extend as far as their own dreams and sounds in nature. Corbu’s sound overall is dreamy with an underlying tone of erie; and yet, it works magically. David Fridmann mixed this album. Fridmann has also mixed some of Tame Impala, MGMT, and Flaming Lips music as well.
