Windigo is a whirlwind of sound and psychedelic rock energy. In their Magic EP, they showcase their skills, blending sound and vocals seamlessly into groovy mixes that are enough to get anyone’s foot tapping. It’s an enticing sound that would be capable of bringing in a myriad of listeners. The guitar riffs and sometimes staccato beats are interesting and unpredictable, especially since they play around with the idea of throwback psychedelic rock. Going into the EP I didn’t expect much of what made the listen so unforgettable, and I’d have to say that going into it with little to no expectations allows the listener to see the tracks for what they are.
All in all, Windigo has appropriately set the tone for future endeavors through this three track EP.
