Charts & Adds: Week of 11/20 – 11/27

While KU was snowed in yesterday, we kept things movin’ & groovin’ on air over here at 90.7 KJHK. Check out what’s been getting the most love from our DJ’s with this week’s top 30 down below:

Top 5 Charts:

1.) BOYO – Dance Alone

(From previous week) Dance Alone is the aptly titled 3rd LP from LA artist and producer BOYO. The album’s lyrics explore a number of darker themes. but overall is about remaining self-aware and looking to the future. That being said, these themes are given a dreamy and catchy background that you can still get down to.

2.) Grapetooth – Grapetooth

(From previous week) Creating something new and unique inspired by 80’s new wave in 2018 is a tall task, but that’s just what the Chicago-based due Grapetooth have done on their self titled debut album. Clay Frankel (of Twin Peaks) and Chris Bailoni pack all sorts of captivating layers and melodies throughout all ten tracks.

3.) Part Time – Spell #6

“Part Time’s sound from the beginning has been on the complete end of the spectrum of modern pop/alternative music. Where other bands opt for gnashing guitar chords and earsplitting drums, Part Time operates within the lo-fi, mellow sphere” Read the full review written by Sasha Arteaga HERE

4.) Kero Kero Bonito – Time N’ Place

(From a previous week) No one was sure what to expect from the sophomore full length from the unpredictable London trio, Kero Kero Bonito. Time N’ Place is an imaginative mix of sounds that not only blends genres but completely turns them upside down.

5.) BRONCHO – Bad Behavior

“This album takes classic garage rock and gives it a hazy DIY feel. The strong melodies throughout the album will make you come back to this listen after listen.” Read the full review written by Miranda Roberts HERE.
