Charts & Adds: Week of 1/15 – 1/22

Welcome back everyone! The semester has officially begun, and while we’ve had a few weeks off from NACC charting, there’s been plenty of fantastic new material for us to get on the airwaves. We have a familiar face at the top spot for this first week, but check out some of what else we’ve had spinning to bring in the new year!

Top 5 Charts:

1.) Foxwarren – Foxwarren

“While Foxwarren has an original sound, their makeup is a rock and roll classic: a group of siblings and childhood friends who formed a band in college. The band delivers themes of desire and loneliness through sincere melodies that will have you swaying for days.” Read the full review written by Miranda Roberts HERE

2.) Radar State – Strays

Members of local favorites The Get Up Kids, The Anniversary, and The Architects have teamed up to create a new group, Radar State. This first album, Strays, is a good balance of modern emo combined with the sounds and moods 2nd wave emo is known for.

3.) Fahrenheist – Albatross

Typically, a self-released debut album has some kinks that need to be worked out, but the Seattle quartet Fahrenheist have themselves an album that is both lively and energetic while remaining clean and well-crafted.

4.) Pedro The Lion – Phoenix

“Place and identity go hand in hand, and all throughout this album we see how Bazan’s early experiences have shaped him, and how the loneliness he felt back then has manifested itself somehow on nearly every album he’s worked on.” read the full review HERE

5.) Tallies – Tallies

Tallies’ self-titled debut album is a bright mix of shoegaze, dream pop, and surf rock. Sarah Cogan and Dylan Frankland lead the charge to bring fresh melodies and mesmerizing guitar leads.
