Sasami Ashworth has been making a name for herself as an exciting, versatile multi-instrumentalist as a member of a number of bands featuring Cherry Glazerr, Froth, and more. With her self-titled debut album, Ashworth more than proves her capability in leading the charge, crafting her own unique sound and aesthetic. The album doesn’t revolve one specific theme or feeling, but offers us a vivid insight to Ashworth’s thought processes & emotions.
4.) Better Oblivion Community Center – Better Oblivion Community Center
(From previous week) Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst certainly have a knack for poignant songwriting in all of their musical endeavors. The two teamed up to create Better Oblivion Community Center, a folk-rock album that plays to both of the musicians’ strengths in crafting songs that capture a unique atmosphere of escapism.
