KJHK is proud to be a member of the Lawrence community and a supporter of local businesses, organizations and non-profits. We want to help spotlight you and promote your message alongside our sweet tunes. In return, you are helping to keep our airwaves flowing!
KJHK is an educational radio station, which means we are commercial–free. This is why our Development Director refers to your on-air promotional messages as “spots” rather than “ads.”
Since we follow NPR style guidelines as opposed to commercial-radio station guidelines, it means we write our scripts a little bit differently, but that also means we have competitively lower prices! Reach out to our Development Director today for more information.

Lane Rozin (he/they) is the Development Director at KJHK. As our resident “Budget Boy,” Lane handles all of our underwriting contracts, where KJHK can spotlight local businesses, organizations, and non-profits. He started out as a volunteer DJ during their freshman year and has been hosting the show “Queer Talk” for over two years. When not at the station or working on underwriting, Lane spends time at home listening to Keaton Henson or Counting Crows with his cat, Binx!
Interested in connecting with Lane? You can reach them at underwriting@kjhk.org.
