Japanese indie folk that will put a smile on your face
Shugo Tokumaru is a Japanese Indie Folk Pop artist who is one of the most innovative songwriters that I have had the pleasure to listen to. His music conjures up a feeling of pure joy, from the upbeat xylophones to the airy breeze provided by the wind instruments. You are guaranteed to have a smile on your face at some point. Also, his music is incredibly catchy which is saying something considering the lyrics are all in Japanese. Often I will find myself humming his songs, wondering just exactly it is that he is saying. Well until I learn Japanese, I suppose I will have to just make do with the mystery of the lyrics. In any case, I highly recommend giving this album a listen.
